Owls gathered at BP approx 18:55, surprisingly, Val on Pillon, we enquired, why ? "My clutch has gone," was the reply, " Gone where?", we enquired in jest, "Well it's sticky..." was the reply......we did'n't go any further with that.......

Route agreed - over the hills and far away....Krozzy leading. From BP via Standish, Blackrod, Little scotland, Grimeford village, Rivington, Belmont, Abbey village, Cherry tree, Pleasington - where in classic Owls tradition, some members got lost (hurrah, old habits die hard) but quickly re-grouped just before Blackburn. From there Yan took the lead and lead us through Mellor towards Clitheroe, onto the A59 stop at Macdonalds. - Brew.

The rufty tufty owls enjoyed coffee, hot choclate, an assortment of cakes and muffins and a chat.

Well, nobody fancied biting the head off a chicken and nearest thing available,  Mac.Deli delight, didn't really fit the bill so.......

Whilst at Macdonalds (could have sworn I heard banjo music.....) a gang of lads in a pickup truck arrived and were leaving just as we did but couldn't seem to release the handbrake on their Toyota so proceeded to burn out the clutch trying, not a good night for clutches all round really.

Now dark, returned via A59, M6 (tickled trout) Owls split for home at J27

All bases covered really, back 'B' road twisty nadgery, "A" road sweepery, Motorway thrashery. Plus free entertainment from the locals at half time.

Arrived home approx 21:40

Cheers All

Krozzy
